Before the beginning had begun a simple Sufi man sung,

and thus this was sprung:

a trivial world with great swaths

of manufactured earth, pounded

into great sweeping shapes—

Take wisdom from the wise

It takes a man of vision to write on water

Not every man who rides a horse is a jockey

Great men rise to greater occasions
